HISTORY

India was founded as a free country in 1947 after the independence from the UK. English people colonized India in 1773. India participated in a war against Pakistan and in another one against UK. Its constitution was created in 1949. Its  political system is a democratic republic with a parlamentary system of government. Gandhi was a very important person in Indian history.
